Ask your prospective inspection company for their membership number in their orginiazation and check on their standing...often times this can be done with a link from their website.  Also ask your prospective inspector these questions and see what their inspection includes...

• Do they provide a Home Warranty?
• Do they Shoot a Video of the Home?
• Do they Email the Report and Summary Letter?
• Do they belong to a professional orginization?
• Do they walk on the roof for the inspection?
• Do they enter crawl spaces?
• Do they take digital photos?

Get what you deserve...a qualified inspector.  The cheapest is usually the cheapest for a reason.
